Kölner Miniatum Gel 3D

Kölner Miniatum Gel is a pasty adhesive for the artistic application of gold leaf and metal leaf on flexible surfaces. It works perfectly on parchment, paper, canvas, plastic and leather. The result is a 3D gilding where the light is reflected onto the gold leaf from several sides. It is applied either with a brush (not too soft hair), painter's knife, small spatulas etc. After applying this adhesive, gilding can begin after at least 3 hours, depending on the thickness of the layer. Real gold leaf is best applied within 72 hours. Metal leaf should be applied within 12 hours. If the Miniatum gel has become too dry and the gold leaf no longer adheres, this can be activated with warm air (e.g. with a hairdryer). Kölner Miniatum Ink

Miniatum Ink designed for gildings on paper, leather and vellum. Miniatum Ink has been designed as a supplement to Miniatum Mirror Gloss. Finest lines can be made with a variety of drawing instruments laid with gold or silver leaf. Drying time depends on thickness of application and absorbency of the surface. The average application dries in less than half an hour. The open time for gilding with patent leaf is 3 hours after film formation.In addition, Kölner Miniatum Ink is excellent for gold-edged books.A gold-edged book is the luxurious gilding of the page edges, giving any book a high-end finish. Achieving a gold-edged book is particularly easy and reliable with Kölner Miniatum Ink. Kölner Signcoll

Kölner Signcoll is an adhesive for gold leaf that is specially designed for pinstriping techniques, lettering, stencil work, painting, decoration, faux finishes, hand-painted wallpaper, etc. Quick and effective work is possible, the adhesion is perfect and thin lines can be applied. The Kölner Signcoll can be diluted with water and adjusted to the type of brush (hair type) and the substrate. Gilding with Kölner Signcoll is virtually scratch-proof and gives gold leaf a high gloss. After applying this adhesive, gilding can begin after approx. 1 - 2 hours (depending on the surface). The adhesive strength of the Kölner Signcoll remains for approx. 4 - 12 hours depending on the ambient conditions. Kölner Instacoll Base Matt

Kölner Instacoll gilding system MATT (interior use only) Works the same way as Instacoll for high gloss gilding. The yellow matt version is darker than the yellow gloss version so that it is always visible which gilding will become matt or glossy. Instacoll Base Matt and Instacoll Base Glossy can possibly be mixed. The following procedure may be used: Apply Instacoll Base Matt on the surface that shall be gilded. Let the layer dry for a minimum of 3h, mask some parts (e.g. a braid), apply Instacoll Base Glossy to the remaining parts and let them dry. Hereafter activate the surface and gild. High gloss and matt effects will occur automatically. The technique can be used vice versa, starting with Instacoll Base Glossy and applying Instacoll Base Matt in a second step. We advise to use Instacoll Matt finishing gilding only for interiors as matt finishing is known for attracting dirt. Kölner Archicoll is a revolutionary adhesive for interior gold leaf projects that works like a stucco material.
