Kölner Classic Feldmann’s Prep

Who does not know these problems:• Sparkling Mixtion on the underground• „gone down“ gilding With Kölner Classic Feldmann’s Prep it works much better! Processing instructions: It works on each hardened varnish underground.High gloss Polishing Creme is to be applied with cotton wool or brush. After drying for 1 or 2 minutes start polishing off residuelessly with clean cotton wool. If the underground comes off a little(e.g. at a yellow high gloss varnish - yellow discolorations in the cotton wool) this is no defect or an impairment. After polishing off cleanly the Oil-Mixtion is to be applied quickly with a bristlebrush. The Oil-Mixtion has to be removed immediately (no dawdling!!!) with a fl uff free cloth until almost no more Oil-Mixtion can be recognized. The gold leaf in loose or transfer, can be laid outafter approx. 13-15 hours drying time. The process time of the gold leaf is approx. 2 - 4 hours, dependent of the room temperature and the prevailing atmospheric humidity, that is previous testsare necessary. Right after gilding, but at the utmost up to 4 hours, the gold leaf can be polished to a high gloss with a clean cotton wool. Please take absolutely care that the cotton wool does notcontain any pollutions (e.g. brown points). These hard pieces lead to scratches in the polish.

…our best-selling oil-based gilding size for years…The Kölner oil-based size delivers brilliant gilding results.Kölner Classic Ölmixtion is available in three different drying times Drying times: 3h 12h 24h Bonding times/open time: 1h 5h 7hThe times given refer to the respective drying times, but they can only be used as a rough guide; On lacquered surfaces, the best results in gilding are achieved using Oil Size when the substrate has been previously prepared with Kölner Feldmann’s Prep. Thickness of the mixture and changing temperatures can extend or shorten the drying time. The Cologne Classic Oil Mixture can be mixed with each other and therefore the drying time can be adjusted individually. The prerequisite for successful gilding is a non-absorbent substrate and a mixture that is applied as thinly as possible and has dried thoroughly. Use indoors and outdoors in the oil technique.
